Description
This listing is for a physical, printed pattern.
Perrette Samouiloff looks at the world with the innocence of a child, when each new discovery of nature is engraved in our memory.
This quaint cross stitch design shows a child’s amazement at discovering snow: the pleasure of taking it in one’s hand and forming a ball, the exquisite and fragile beauty of the snowflakes, the tracks of one’s steps in the dry winter grasses.
The tones are very soft, with a limited palette of dominant white and green with a few touches of russet and prussian blue.
The cross stitch chart includes a small alphabet, that can be stitched as is. Alternatively, you could use the letters to customize your work with the name of a child “Isabelle, first snow” or an extract from a poem of your choice.
